What
is a SAP Rating?
The
Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP), revised in April 2006,
is the UK methodology for calculating the energy performance
of dwellings. A SAP assessment for new dwellings is a requirement
by law. The SAP provides a rating, much like that used on domestic
appliances ranging from 1 to 100. The higher the score, the
more energy efficient and environmentally friendly the property.
This also means the higher the score, the less running costs
associated with that property. Both important future home selling
points! |

Who
can carry out SAP Assessments?
Since
April 2007 an authorised assessor registered as a competent
person by FAERO must carry out SAP Assessments. Building control
will not accept certificates issued in respect to TER &
DER on the building control Part F checklist without the FAERO
logo - example.
Air Assure Ltd are recognised by FAERO and building control
as competent and are registered with NHER and FAERO. |
